Nora Struckmeier
After experiencing the benefits of Pilates for myself and various injuries, I switched career from Finance to train as a teacher with Body Control in London. I’ve also been lucky enough to train with Pilates legends such as Lolita San Miguel and Mary Bowen – both so close to the original work of Joe Pilates himself. Over the years I’ve also trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), Pilates Union, Benjamin Degenhart and Amy Alpers (from Colorado).
I’m also a qualified Barre Concept Teacher which adds variety to my movement focused teaching approach. I’ve been teaching in Edinburgh for the past 10 years with the city’s largest Pilates provider ‘Balanced’ at their main clinic in Stockbridge. Balanced has 4 studios/clinics and offers fantastic Pilates and physiotherapy all over Edinburgh. Over the years I’ve established a very lovely, inspiring and loyal client following. I always like to ensure that clients understand that good technique is key for achieving the results. My clients have a wide range of goals, fitness levels, injuries, medical conditions, ages and stages! I’m very privileged to work with every one of my clients and I love making sure everyone gets the maximum from their Pilates sessions. Pilates is an amazing exercise method. I always find it hard to define because it can be adapted to suit individual needs. I believe that the benefits are endless and everyone feels better after their Pilates session! I will be sharing this with you at The Pikates Festival Scotland in March. See you there. https://www.balancededinburgh.co.uk/ |
